Subjects of interest include waveguides made of optical fiber as well as planar waveguides in optical integrated circuits. This book is incredible. This is a wonderful book, and tells stories that have not been told before. However the way he does it is to simplistic. I have recently joined a class of adults who have been studying the texts with him for two decades. It's the no-frills, pre-published edition complete with typos and inexpensive binding. If you have never herd of or been to a drag race this book is for you. An easy and satisfying read.. However, I prefer entertainingly written non-fiction and was sorely disappointed. Plenty of humor here for those looking for a quick laugh (the section on H and Z form recesses is particularly well done), but also a great deal of poignancy, given that the novel offers as the only plausible salve and enclosure of its entire narrative structure (and indeed its philosophical conundrums) a reference to the famous lost work of ISO 8764-2 -- a text whose disappearance signals, perhaps, the degree to which all solutions in ISO 87The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the government agency that oversees and sets regulations and procedural standards forthe aviation industry.This edition is for flight instructor candidates taking their checkride in a multi-engine airplane, land or sea..
