Consequently, I was quite excited to read this memoir by Ariel Dorfman, a famous "victim" and exile of Chile's torrid history of the 1970s. The text claims that accusations of emasculation helped to reshape liberal politics, forcing it toward an anticommunist center. He's also an entertaining, lively stylist, especially when expressing his distaste for some of the low points in Sinatra's recording career, most notably the "Duets" sessions. They knew that when a body decomposed, it made the crops grow. Such efforts saw New Deal pluralism as a noble naivete and postwar consumerism/individualism/anti-communism as emergent from an adolescence ill-informed about the birds and the bees of the human condition. As a college student, I think the most interesting aspect of the book was "Chapter 3: Enter the Ivies," an account of Ted's college years at Princeton and Harvard Law School. This dark and evil time in Latin American history deserves more study and consideration. It helps you understand you body better, and a very big part of this knowledge can be applied to everyday life. What woman doesn't remember eating raw chocolate-chip cookie dough as a teenager?!. Broken Music is certainly an appropriate title to this memoir as it is
