Brief explanatory paragraphs accompany the illustrations, which average five to a page, but they are in small type. The information is limited, but what is here-with its emphasis on camels and clothing and artifacts of Arabian people-is interesting and generally well presentedFull-color photos. Examine the forces that form deserts and discover the amazing variety of life in these seemingly desolate lands, from frogs that hibernate for years to Bedouins who can tell direction just by feeling stones on the ground. Yet it is the gendered excision of uncertain pathology that throws that same land into constant redemption. I look forward to purchasing the FINAL volume in October and then my collection will be more or less complete!. Now, with those additional years of teaching (and practicing!) meditation under his belt, he's produced what I consider his clearest, most straightforward book. Kindle started me on chapter 1 so I had to scroll back to read it first.
